Today marks my first post. I would like to introduce myself first before getting into the details of what you’ll be expecting from this blog. I am Khristine, a 28 year old wife, a vegetarian and a yoga asana instructor.
I’ve been practicing yoga for more than 15 years now with the support of my loving husband. And when I say “yoga”, I don’t just mean the exercise but the whole lifestyle. It has tremendously helped me in a lot of ways- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Not only do I practice it, but I teach it as well. I conduct lifestyle classes in different schools, villages and offices in our city and do outreach programs on the side too. Yes, it has altered my whole perception in life and I am eternally grateful to my teacher for that.
I find joy in the simplest of things. I love to garden because I find that gardening gives me that feeling of achievement each time I harvest the fruits of my labor. Believe me when I tell you that there’s nothing more rewarding than to be able to harvest fresh, organic produce straight from your own backyard and turn it into something spectacular.
It is in my kitchen that brings out the creativeness in me. I love experimenting on different flavors and textures and sharing it with my loved ones. My passion for cooking has always been there since I was a little girl and has grown even more as I aged. I guess that’s because I grew up in a family where everything was made from scratch with love and ordering take-outs wasn’t an option. Plus, home cooked meals are much better, cheaper and healthier than fast food.
I am also thankful to have met my friend Esther, who is the founder of EdeNuts. Because she is passionate about natural and raw food, she imports a whole line of raw nut and seed butters to the country that are not only good but are good for you! A tablespoon of these miracle foods can help boost your immune system, improves digestion and elimination and protects you from diseases.
Now, how do they keep their butters raw? The Jerusalem Sesame Products Corporation founded by Rogen Berman, a scientist and mechanical engineer, invented a unique patented mill exclusive to EdeNuts. The machines peels the thin, brown inner skin from almonds, cleans the sesame seeds and grinds it without the use of any heat or chemicals, thus retaining all the nutritional properties of the nuts and seeds. They pride themselves in distributing nothing but superior quality and nutritional products that you deserve.
In this blog, you will be taken into an exciting journey to good health and well-being. Recipes, health tips and almost anything under the sun will be shared with you whole-heartedly, from our home to yours.
Come and join us live a fuller and healthier life!
